This idea is ridiculous. It's impossible. It fundamentally neglects the fact that politics are guided by economics and economics are guided by individual percieved value propositions on goods. What can AI produce if there are no consumers? How can a government provide UBI if no one can pay taxes because they have no income? It is paradoxically impossible. Will AI improve? I believe so, as toasters have improved as well. Will clankers take human jobs? Sure. But in the scenario painted, the reality would be "ai companies" trading with "ai companies" where they would have to decide on value propositions among themselves for consumers that no longer exist. None of it makes sense or is even remotely realistic or plausible.
