I honestly don't get a lot of these arguments. Why is "art" only "art" if it's based on how well you can move an object in 3D space? Surely the artistic vision is what matters, not the physical movement of the pen? If it's about effort, I get that but the guy claims he put a lot of effort in. If you want to call him a liar that's one thing but his basic argument isn't even that bad? AI is a tool seems like a valid take. Hell, let's build this out into the future, If we one day get brain scanning technology and can directly put our imagination into photoshop, will that not be art either? Just seems like Charlie is gatekeeping for no reason. Actually no, the reason is capitalism and the starvation of human artists, which, fair enough. Still, wouldn't bet on "preventing AI" being any easier than just implementing UBI.
