The "problem" with AI is NOT that it will "take our jobs." The problem is that governments need to transition faster and more smoothly into the next inevitable economy.
Stephen Hawking said it perfectly in 2015, "If machines produce everything we need, the outcome will depend on how things are distributed. Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced wealth is shared; or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution. So far, the trend seems to be toward the second option, with technology driving ever-increasing inequality."
We need to shift the paradigm and recognize that being a "hard worker" is NOT the only, NOR THE BEST, way to live, let alone "assign value" to a human life. We are on the cusp of the next age. Will we choose self-imposed limitations and regression, or embrace progress, creativity and expansion?
