The likely near term reality is that LLMS will cause more software developers to exist, not less.
The reason being that they might make learning programming easier and more accessible rather than replacing devs, and thus allow more people to be devs. But companies being filled with half-awake vibe coders will happen, and is actually already happening. And at some point when we have some massive global catastrophy caused by vibe coding we might wake up a bit.
