If we can't even give intelligent animals like Orcas and other cetaceans rights, what hope do we have to give AI rights? Certain nations have finally declared orcas non-human citzens, I think India did, maybe New Zealand? Don't quote me on that. But that the US still holds these intelligent beings in cages like they are nothing more than objects for our entertainment doesn't bode well for our future robot overlords.
