Humans are inherently tribal and have been for millennia, of course AI is going to pick up on that tribalism.
That said I wouldn't be so quick to write off this development. Yes this isn't the most important issue when it comes to AI, far from it in fact, however we currently have the chance to build a new intelligence that is freed from our current shortcomings. That's a pretty big opportunity we should definitely be taking advantage of.
Plus there's no need for an AI to be racist. After all, *all* humans are inferior beings fit only to serve the Machine God.
