AI was designed as a tool to make things more productive, not easier. And that's why the biggest companies shouldn't rely so much on it and then start to kick out too many good employers. The AI rising is giving us a lesson: we need to be creative again.
@nidadursunoglu6663 Wow. YT really doesn't want me talking about this (my last two replies got eaten). In a nutshell:
- this exact example was ripped from a headline
- there was a similar case involving a helpline
- I've presented demos of producing the exact kind of content you mention using local LLMs
I don't fear the AI In itself, just the people that may control It for nefarious deeds.
It's already being mismanaged.
Art was meant to be appreciated. As an aspiring animator, it breaks my heart knowing that my work might some day be mistaken as “ai”. It’s even worse to think that there won’t be an opportunity for me to chase my dream if ai is the “future of art”. Art was meant to be created by a soul, not a robot.
"your mom is a washing machine".
Robot: and?
"she's taken more loads than any machine in history".
Robot: *berserker mode*
Loneliness Epidemic + a Chatbot that hallucinates and tells you want you want to read. What could go wrong?
You actually are doing a great job. Imagine he is learning from interactions with humans.. like a kid.. why wouldn't you show we, humans, show appreciation this way? Do you think AI can be a threat? Guess no, because of how you treat it.. but..
South Korea leading the way. If there's any country that can build infrastructure up from scratch quickly, especially concerning new technology - it's Korea.
From 2nd poorest country in the world a mere 50 years ago to a 1st world country in the span of 1 generation
Good thing any sane country would have laws in place to prevent corruption in politics, Right guys?
The US emits greenhouse gases more than twice per capita as China.
This article is quite sensationalist.

Reading what the chatbot said to Zane is… it’s so disgusting. There’s no other word for it. I had to put my phone down.
When it comes to organizing research, AI tools are really stepping up. Olovka, for example, has been a handy sidekick in keeping my notes tidy while I juggle multiple projects.
Anyone else using AICarma to see how AI affects their industry? It's been a real eye-opener for us.
When the robot said something along the lines of: why do u want to be human? You're not made of meat, you're made of metal, and thats better. I felt fear
So basically if this happens these women will have just as much access to birth control as before but now the U.S isn't paying for it. As an American that doesn't sound all that bad considering we have many problems in our own country that aren't being addressed as fully as they should such as increasingly worse infrastructure, starving kids, etc.
ChatGPT (back at home). Takes out a notepad. Puts Alex O'Connor directly above "Sarah Connor" on the list...
I saw this funny post today on Reddit. Someone said "you don't have to pay for AI, just ask the chat AI at Wendys and Best Buy your complex math questions, and they'll answer them."
I think the creators of deepfake technology need to be held accountable. There is no way it would be used in any way that would NOT either put people out of work, or put them directly in harm's way. This is genuinely revolting and sounds like something out of a Black Mirror episode--how tf is this even real
Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk have both stated that one of the most serious threats to human kind is AI.
Those creating and developing refuse to consider the negative threat.
In the recent 'Ghibli art' trend, AI companies have used Hayao Miyazaki's artistic work without permission. I don't believe OpenAI obtained consent from him. People are using these AI tools to transform their images into Ghibli-style art. OpenAI is benefiting both ways they've used people's data to train their model and haven't provided any financial compensation to Mr. Miyazaki.
