This right here is the correct perspective. OP was hired to do a job and *did the job*. He even said he tried to tell management about it and they weren’t interested. At *most* he might be in violation of some sort of company policy about using untested software but I seriously doubt they have anything like that in place.
Hell, this whole story is about how the company eventually did the *same g…
i know it sucks so bad. i used to use pinterest so much and it was so fun, but now i cant get good reference images or anything because of just the insane amount of ai
ChatGPT agrees with you. Here's what I just received.
ChatGPT ≠ intelligence.
"As an AI language model, I am programmed to generate responses based on patterns and associations learned from a vast amount of data. While I can produce human-like text, it's essential to understand that I am not truly intelligent, nor do I possess conscious awareness, emotions or creativity.
My responses are sol…
It's pretty simple to me: whenever I realize something I've been reading or looking at is AI generated, I feel cheated. It was never worth my attention in the first place, because the creator didn't put any effort into it. Only if someone has something real to say, and however small it may be, do I feel that it's worth my time.
@cmnidit4444 even aside from the fact that they were doing a style study, you realize that a lot of art styles have only become ""generic"" because they were stolen en masse to train ai slop generators, right? someone had to draw in that way in the first place in order for the models to be trained to replicate it, so why would it be any artist's fault for drawing in that way? placing the blame on…
Basically photos/videos can no longer be treated as something absolute. Society will adjust accordingly.
Edit: people here talking about AI to analyze photos, or better techniques etc…etc. you are society not adjusting yet.
You CANNOT trust pixels on a screen anymore
hayao Miyazaki opinion on ai art is absolutely perfect " I believe it is an insult to life itself "
As an artist, I do worry about this type of protest. I know everyone who redrew it means well! However, I worry because in the end it promotes the ai art and promotes using AI as a reference/starting point when we know the ai programs were made without the consent of the artists that they use. Ai bros use this as proof that AI is good.
Who is he talking about when he says, "People should think through how it's AI going to affect our lives"? We the people have no say in this.
Ai: "It's over Anakin I have the high ground"
Transitional artists(including me): "you underestimate my power"
Fucking just make a pop up on the webpage:

Stop making ChatGPT useless 😊
LLMs are a dead end when it comes to truly intelligent work. For quick questions, scaffolding, ideating, they're fine. But ask any developer - they do not hold up in large, complex codebases because they cannot reason.
This is not particularly surprising. South Korea admitted to secretly enriching uranium to near-weapons grade around the turn of the century. Here is an article from 2004.

It's funny how the developers have also to coerce ChatGPT by repeating strong words to make it do what they want: \*\*ALL CAPS\*\* EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, and try to coax it (” please"). They know, as stubborn as a mule it can be!
This outbreak has been going on for weeks, and the World Health Organization has a complete handle on it. They shipped in a bunch of antibiotics and the country has been pretty effective at setting up checkpoints to catch people who might be infected.

google has started doing this very annoying thing where, even when my profile clearly states i speak English and Spanish, it automatically translates all results to spanish
besides the shitty, unnecessary translation, it also breaks half of all webpages because the translation doesn't work
edit: and i forgot to say, there's no way to turn it off. my workaround was to change my language to only…
You mean facial recognition which struggles mightily with non Caucasians
Facial recognition that could be fooled by a printed picture ?
And if we go down that route, make AI and their users responsible for their actions.
Truth be told Art in the mainstream has always been an uphill battle. Whether it’s by devaluing the artists, the art, or the public reception. I think the difference is how visible this particular battle is.
I tried to have a meaningful conversation with one of the people I saw using it regularly. A lot of the conversation was that they didn’t care about being a better artist, they had certain …
Africa is lightyears behind most of Asia. Most of Africa doesn't even have the infrastructure necessary to start its industrial revolution. Obviously, some do, but as a whole, no. Africa is still way behind. The continent emits fewer emissions than any other continent and it's not because they're environmentally conscientious.
