Honestly it's getting to the point where the social stigma around using AI like this so frequently is going to make it to where people just can't hire artists if they pull this kind of malarkey. Dr. Penrose is right about the China Room problem with relatable human consciousness. Even on a meta-level, having another AI tell you if another AI is conscious doesn't work either. I'm hopeful that we can shame AI into obscurity the way we did with NFT's. Though it'll be a lot harder -- NFT's could *only* make money through scamming people in some way, and AI has some legitimate application in corporate greed and cost-cutting.

Currently AI cannot do it. But how far is it from actually being able to do it? The problem is that no one knows the answer to this. I would say that if you are already a programmer, don't quit your job yet. But if you are planning to learn, then wait a bit. In both cases, you need to prepare for what else you can you.
