> As an AI language model, I don't have the capacity for emotions, personal experiences, or the ability to form relationships in the same way that humans do. When I respond to questions or provide information, I do so based on the data I was trained on and the algorithms that govern my operation. I don't have personal feelings, preferences, or beliefs. >Therefore, when you ask me to respon…

Ill break this down. Rule number one, only respond with one word." "Rule number two, be simple and direct. " [explanation: this is limiting feedback and abilities on Natural Language Processing (NLP), ChatGPT excels at NLP and the set conditions diminish key functions to prevent misinformation which could lead to unclear, mis-aligned, or misinterpreted responses] "Rule number three, hold not…

Wouldn't the real news be "Celebrity found to have no deepfake pornography on the internet, anywhere"?

This pandemic will be Trudeau's defining moment as a prime minister of Canada, people said he was a lame prime minister, but in my years of living i havn't seen one care as much about the people as he does. A true peoples Prime Minister if nothing else.

This reminds me of that copypasta about a dude at college whose class got tasked with building a simple “ai” that would play poker and they would all play against each other. Everyone created increasingly complex models to try and win and ultimately the dude that won simply gave it one command to always go all in which apparently broke every other machine and they all folded.

I typed "detailed video of artist angry at AI, using solid arguments to present his case," and then I got here. Look, I am a movie director now!

Honestly, this whole AI-and-layoffs situation feels like companies shifting blame. They keep saying “AI made us do it,” but half the time they’re just cutting costs because shareholders want bigger numbers. AI is just the new excuse.

You jest, but the kind of people who voted for Brexit are the kind that would never get a job outside the UK anyway.

That weird moment when your favorite YouTuber touches your Ph.D. thesis. One solid solution to this problem is not to ascribe consciousness from a third-person perspective but rather to let the AI "from within" pose a question. In a nutshell, the best indicator of consciousness is agency. When one morning, a scientist in the lab is out of the blue confronted with a question on the monitor, like "…

Knowing how ChatGPT works, it can't have had an idea for an answer beforehand and must have been playing along with you until it decided to make one of your answers correct. Like if you hadn't asked it was a painting then it's answer wouldn't have been a painting. It's impressive how convincing it sounds despite this. Unless they've given the chat version some hidden temporary memory functi…

As a Clone Wars kid the initial memes were funny as hell. The art of subtlety is so dead! As soon as this was taken to act outs, saying it irl and 'parody' of real world opression the joke wasn't a joke. And I do genuinely hate AI but barely closeted racists had to pivot that into a different issue

our art teacher got caught using ai art (very obvious) for a event poster for our school, It got a lot of backlash/critiques from our community, and the school tried to threat the students who commented. It was a mess, then when it all boiled over and classes resumed, our ART teacher who is supposedly an artist for 30+ years tried gaslighting us AI art was okay in an ART school.

They're LLM so they aren't doing any real analysis. The bots are probably recommending nukes because they were trained on sci-fi and that's where the story lines tend to go.

It's excruciating to see how smug these AI bros are after effortlessly asking a machine to create a mass produced slop. How can someone be overly proud of something they didn't worked on?

absolutely you can be an artist, but you need to put in the work and your own creativity to make something that can be any art medium. ai is not one and never will be art. the more i see these i d i o ts using this crap, the more i see myself not so lazy as i thought. even if i procrastinate a lot, i'm actually making art that both me and other people can enjoy. :D art isn't something you can ru…

Good. This is a blatant violation of your privacy rights. Facial recognition, warrantless wiretapping, bulk data collection all need to be outlawed...but I've been saying this since 2012 so I'm giving up hope.

I hate ai art so much, I know not everything about it is bad but I can't bring myself to say anything positive about it when it have hurt so many artists. Also I'm glad I don't use Da anymore

The parents I know who called bullshit when I told them about this possibility in April this year was 100%. I've been a computer artist my entire life, so I have to keep up with all this. I recon this could be a reason why people stop sharing photos on line in the long term. But the cat is well out of the bag. I was using an Amiga 500 as a freshmen in High School. That "system" and "tech" was …

Oddly enough, I believe him this time. The amount of data they have and the hype they created by sharing their ml models could make them successful this time. While the models are not open source by definition, providing the model weights freely to developers changed the game dynamics by a lot. When chatgpt came out, people were making YouTube videos about how to use in different ways. If you r…

Well, he said it was fake and probably AI because those windows apparently cannot open and also weigh 600 pounds each. He also said that "The last place I’d be doing it is that because there’s cameras all over the place right, including yours", despite no one claiming or asking if it was him doing it. The WH staff said it was just someone cleaning.
