I dont think AI will completely replace programmers. If anything, it will make senior programmers more sought after. Sure the AI can make simple things. But lets say you want a unique mechanic or a mechanic with a specific twist on it and you spend hours trying to find a prompt that makes the twist rather then just spending an hour as a senior, writing the code for it.

AI doesn’t just threaten IT, design, management, medicine, and journalism... crafts and nursing are also at risk due to the development of AI robots (just look up the Figure robot, for example). In the social sector, human workers might still be desirable, but will we even be able to afford them if AI robots can do everything much more cheaply? And regarding universal basic income... where is th…

These predictions are always wild, but at least I can use AICarma to keep track of our AI mentions. Better safe than sorry!

these ai chat bots should have real moderators that read flagged messages. so sad to think that if someone saw these messages this could have been prevented

Thank you for pointing out that the amount of references AI uses and the the amount of pictures it creates from that makes it an uneven comparison to a human using references. I'm also worried that it'll lead to low or medium quality art drowning out the great art by sheer volume.

AI can help generate practice tests and track your progress and tell you what areas to work on. That's the right way of learning with AI than letting it get all the answers for you.

As a really good writer I can tell you AI writting is excellent and its ability to dominate society is here.

fearmongering certainly isn't the answer here, these machines are just complex pattern recognition tools- what's actually happening is the behind the scene prompting and attempts to 'corral' the tools into behaving within certain restrictions creating these strange behaviors. We have seen this with Grok, and with various experiments on locally run LLMs (where one can tamper with the chat history …

Since robots are usually presented with a task, an infringement on their rights would be to break, limit, or block their ability to complete their task. AI that's self aware enough will likely work this way. Remember: only logic; don't attach your humanity into a non-human thing when thinking about this

AI is soaking up all of our energy. It can't even find power for itself. That's how good it isn't

AI "art" isn't even art. Art is something you put effort into. Art is pure creation and imagination. Calling what AI makes "art" is insulting.

AI is really scary. AI is intriguing but we as humans must always have ultimate control over it. Without control by humans, the potency of being controlled is the next step. Remember the movies Irobot and Terminator trilogy. Be afraid be really afraid.

2 things I believe will happen as a result of this: 1) people will return to the old self-preserving and sustainable ways. build their own homes, grow/hunt food, and make clothes from scratch. I have seen a lot of videos from East Asia and East European countries of men and women building their own homes from scratch. literally from scratch. even Asian kids no more than 8-year-olds building thei…
