We used to live in an information society, but are rapidly moving toward a perception society where your thoughts and opinions are influenced through manipulating what you perceive, through social media and AI generated media. Information, facts, knowledge, and actual events will not matter, only perception.

As a public school teacher who went to college before AI, I can't believe how many of my colleagues rely on AI to do their jobs, but mostly how heavily it is pushed in professional development sessions. Teaching is demanding, but I'm not about to outsource my work (that I truly love doing) when my students are punished for doing the same thing.
