It's not the AI itself that is intensely irritating. It it the fact that is it being shoved in our faces when we least expect or desire it.
I think you could get that just selling the drivetrain then tow the rest to a junker
I think the Generation GenAI is getting older and views AI as how one writes things.
There’s a rising tide of people championing slop as more cost effective and great for writing a book a day.
There’s market seems willing to reward that approach baring strong regulatory action.
We’re gonna drown this civilization is slop of our own making.
Not sure what you're getting at. Are you saying that the NYT employs people who commit war crimes? Or you're concerned with their news coverage of such people?
In any case, I don't see why that would mean they should publish book reviews from a freelancer who submits AI-generated reviews.
I would argue that any state does require a degree of ideological purity/coherence to function well (for whatever its definition of well is, in any case). Liberal democracy for instance does not tolerate an infinite spectrum of political views and expression in practice.
So long as there is some general consensus in society about what the basic values and aims of that society are and what the ac…
So when Microsoft announced this about Windows 11.....I noticed that it started falling apart.
Use AI as a tool, not as a programmer.
They aren't making money from AI investments as they'd hoped. So, plebs take the heat for piss poor investments. AI didn't take their jobs, the cost of C-Suite pissing away money did.
Maximum control? Seriously? This has to be some mossad psyop, does nobody see how men always have to have some sort of maliciousness attached to their behaviors when talked about online?
Have you thought that maybe lonely people seek a sense of belonging or love in the only way that feels feasible to them? Jesus christ
They dont chose ai because they want to, they couldn't achieve a romantic re…
> They are truly shitty people and it is 100% their fault for being the shit stains that they are.
Its not binary. Power kills empathy, its been well studied, [for example.](https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-wealth-reduces-compassion/) But empathy is not binary either. The people most likely to seek massive amounts of power tend to be the kind with the least empathy to begin w…
as an AI programmer I see AI as a bunch of if else statements 😂😂
Question to Jimmy. Do you take elevators? Do you buy anything from vending machines? Do you order or by anything online? DO you even ride the little trains in the airports.
Guess what those are all automated jobs and is the future, you can try to fight it but is the future anyways.
We just need to fix out current economic system because it can't coexist with technology. But as far as drivelers…
One aspect that doesn’t get touched on too much is the joy of making art. I’m nowhere near as good as you with painting, but I make music, write and draw, and the process of communicating emotions/ideas in those mediums is something an AI artist won’t feel. Most people are not making art just so they can have a pretty picture.
So why did he create AI then if he knows the destruction it will cause? Glad i am 53 with no kids, can you imagine being a youngster in this day and age. Forget working hard to buy a home the only thing they will own is their I phone. Terrible and sad situation.
Does anyone remember the movie The Forbin Project. That is basically the future that AI would likely bring if controls are not put in place. Alignment of goals is a nearly impossible thing to ensure on a convolutional AI. We train them only by observing the output for a given input. We don't know the internal "why". An AI could easily have an internal goal of killing all humans but also know…
Predictive policing who ever approved this should be in prison.
Seems like a good way to get cops and law abiding citizens hurt.
Who decided who gets targeted ?
Whats going to happen is this: ex employees will start new competing companies that dont use AI or robots. And pepple will begin to support and work for them. Comapnies that do replace their workforce will quickly realize how bad of an idea it was and either collapse or go back to hiring real workers.
"surveillance capitalism"
Capitalism - private ownership of the means of production.
Public corporations are owned significantly by workers and pensions, they're organisations with executives representing the interest of shareholders. Large corporations are essentially socialistic vehicles.
They do this surveillance on us, as does the state.
We are socialised under these institutions, who are th…
Hank, in the bit on AI-induced psychosis, when you say it seems like the AI is roleplaying - I think you're touching on something really important there. *Literally everything an LLM does* can be understood as roleplaying. Try thinking of an LLM as nothing more than a roleplaying machine, and all the weird or surprising things it does suddenly make perfect sense.
Take "hallucinations." Hypothesi…
Don't expect too much from this free version Guys, instead try the 4.5 nd you'll see the difference. And by experience, custom song is much better.
Charlie Kaufman, a genius filmmaker who’s featured in the middle of this video, also said that “the only thing that makes money is garbage and as long as writers are in the arena of making that garbage, you might as well have a robot do it.” And that’s kinda how I feel.
