I think the Generation GenAI is getting older and views AI as how one writes things. There’s a rising tide of people championing slop as more cost effective and great for writing a book a day. One aspect that doesn’t get touched on too much is the joy of making art. I’m nowhere near as good as you with painting, but I make music, write and draw, and the process of communicating emotions/ideas in those mediums is something an AI artist won’t feel. Most people are not making art just so they can have a pretty picture.
