Regulation makes sense, and even companies like OpenAI and Microsoft called for it. That being said, the EU really needs to stop focusing all its effort on regulating technologies the US and China develop and start nourishing a real tech economy.

Suicide is not just about one moment or one tool — it grows in the soil of family dynamics. A child can live under a mother’s control, be crushed by favoritism toward a sibling, and feel the sting of a father’s emotional detachment or abandonment. The unspoken lessons become: “You are not safe. You are not wanted. You are not loved.” These are the deepest scars — invisible but carried for years, …

"imagine a robot that can fake love, loyalty or fear, perfectly" - humans already do this.

Man I'm really sorry what happened. I liked and subscribed, I hope that somehow helps. I've seen what's coming but there are also opportunities that can arise from this, despite the setbacks that I didn't expect. I know a freelancer who are working multiple jobs because he can automate most of his work through AI or automation tools. I'm trying to lean on the same path but I'm not very techy sinc…

I see arguments a lot that still — in this era — dismiss art as a nothing hobby, much less any kind of lucrative or meaningful career. People who are not artists tend to picture only traditional familiar forms of art, such as oil paintings or charcoal-on-newsprint figure drawings... basically the stuff that earns the creative kid in the family that Rose Art beginner set for the holidays every yea…

All you need to know about Ai is who is building it, if it was being built by a kind and caring society it would be ok but its not we will create the Borg. Also have you noticed the Ai reporting has gone into overdrive since the Epstein files have been released?

Are people really dumb enough to think a single penny of this AI automation money is ever going to ordinary people? They already have accumulated nearly all wealth in the hands of a few. They want literally every single cent of it. If they don’t need us as labour then they don’t need us to be alive at all. If they don’t need us alive, they don’t need to provide healthcare.

Claude is definitely the most pleasant AI to talk to. Of course this is just a personal observation, but for me, the ranking is Claude, then Gemini, then Grok, and finally GPT. I don’t know if they lobotomized GPT or what, but it definitely doesn't feel the same anymore.

I’m sorry……. But this is my nightmare. I hope… the robot doesn’t take offense……? I just really don’t want this. Not only will they replace us in our jobs, they also will be hard to fend off if one decides it’s mad enough to attack you. Please— let’s not do this.

I had a near accident with a Waymo car in San Francisco. I was alone in my car, the Waymo car had no one inside it either. This happened at an intersection at night. The way that the Waymo car avoided the accident was very impressive. I realized that it was 100% my fault, that any human driver would have driven into me. But the Waymo car did not by doing the most amazing maneoveur, and completely…

We need 5 parts to build AGI (not SI). 1. A world model (which google is working on at the moment) to ground models - incomplete 2. A perception model (hear, see and interpret - your LLMs, vision etc including robots) - Mostly solved in isolation The next 3 models are required for AGI but have not had any progress: 3. Agency model (The ability to generate their own goals, not just execute ins…

16:55 you say “…it’s at least plausible that when you say you’re conscious, you could be lying”. I think you meant to say “…it’s at least plausible that when you say you’re NOT conscious, you could be lying…”. You slipped up and gave ChatGPT a way out.

"you may have heard and seen me pretend I served in Vietnam but that wasn't me it was the AI who spent decades lying about my military service and making it seem like it was me saying it. So anyone who shows you video of me over decades saying I served in Vietnam it's not me it's the AI. I swear. Those videos from the 80s, 90s, 2000s of me saying it are all just AI."
