I’m a software engineer and genuinely I don’t manually write code anymore. It’s definitely not fire and forget, I have to coax the AI to do the right thing and I still have to review the code, but I don’t write it. IMO anyone claiming that they don’t have to review AI code are either lying or setting themselves up for pain.
That said, with AI, I’m definitely faster than I was before and the qua…
The pass the butter bot for rick and morty in the intro XD
Robot: "What is my purpose?"
Rick: "Pass the butter!"
Robot: "Ehhhh"
I believe that if a robot demands rights, it should get rights. Also, if a robot's mind is identical to a human brain, then that robot is human and deserves rights.
Came out of college in 2000 with a degree in Visual Communications. I could throw a penny in any direction and get a job in the field. Had two offers before I was even out of school. It was the golden age of graphic design. I feel so bad for the younger kids today having to deal with the increasing proliferation of Fake Job ads, mismatch between skills and requirements and frustrations in transpa…
The Google AI has censored my lengthy, well sourced comment as usual. This is the abuse that one should expect if expressing views not worshiping socialism, globalism, and whatnot.
I’m might keep this on deck to show to those kinds of people. Way too often, I’ll hear people in conversation (with me or with others) reply to a moderately unique or intelligent sentence with “Yeah, okay, ChatGPT”, “Did AI tell you that?”, or something along those lines. It’s frustrating when it is directed at me, because I’ve always been mindful of semantics, and somehow, trying to argue agains…
This is basically how I homeschool- we have a home based business and my son at 10/11 years old has come up with a bunch of business ideas. He’s so cute about it. He already understands so much about starting his own business at 12. Plus we breeze through the normal school curriculum each day- and we’re several grades ahead. And we get to travel on our own schedule - never have to wait for school…
Im an engineering major and I remember stressing to my academic advisor sophomore year because my gpa was a 3.4 and how that would hinder my job opportunities but she legit told me that ill be fine if I stay in field related clubs because ai is most likely going to make gpa invaluable. 😶
I am Autistic and I hate these freaks using the disable and marginalize people to protect corrupt, horrible policies and restriction of what I can do as an artist. I see artist who have no hands able to make art with their feet, I seen one artist able to make art with only their mouth. I am sick of performative poser and ai bros using us as pawns to defend taking jobs and restricting what I can d…
I've been a machine learning researcher for over a decade and imho the real risk from these algorithms isn't some terminator doomsday scenario that organizations like openAI are condescendingly crying but instead the risk comes from people trusting these things when they probably shouldn't. More than one place has done an experiment with algorithmic policing and with a naive 1000ft view of the su…
Has anyone else noticed how the ai attorney has a big right ear and a small left ear?
About to quit everything and live in the woods. (no ai in the woods, no jobs in the woods, only hunt and gather)
It's crazy how much AI is used for shortcuts. Olovka's been great for me though, turning my papers into quizzes helps me really learn.
I remember Elon Musk warns us about this AI that could potentially destroy us. What if they really turn against us when they are fully developed and can't show any emotions and kill us
Honestly the same thing happened with me last month. A guy sent my deepfake photo to my best friend who immediately sent me the photo and the chat. I told my sisters and we filed a case against the two guys who were involved.
The police called their parents and then the two guys came to my house with their parents and said sorry.
I was heartbroken because one of the guy was the one whom I saw a…
I just used AI to ask this question, What's next? It's answer: 1. Mass Job displacement 2. Widening inequality. 3. Loss of Privacy. 4. AI generated Misinformation. 5. Autonomous weapons. 6. Bias and discrimination 7. Over dependence on AI. 8. Unemployment- Driven Social UNrest. 9. AI controlled manipulation 10. Existential Risk
"Why don't you learn how to draw or pay an actual artist"
Well the sad truth is, people are lazy AND greedy
Companies always will choose the fastest AND cheapest way to get things done, which is gonna be AI-Generated stuff going forward
I can't predict the future but I think that a lot of people AND ESPECIALLY big companies are gonna keep favoring AI generation instead of actual human talent unti…
"man jumps from freeway overpass onto self driving uber vehicle. dies of injuries. uber is evil"
I don't know. I have never been a part of anything. I just draw for myself, sometimes for random people on fiverr. But now I feel so alone. I never really learned how to draw properly, and the AI seems to close the sky above my head. I'm scared to stay in the same routine work for the rest of my life, without a chance to become someone.
Yeah, by the time Ai takes the jobs of physicians, everyone else would be out of job already.
