Hello Dr. Hawking, I shared your concern until recently when I heard another AI researcher explain how it's irrational. Specifically, the argument was that there's no reason to be tied to our human form. Instead we should see AI as the next stage in humanity - a collective technological offspring so to speak. Whether our biological offspring or technological offspring go on, should not matter…

Maybe your business isn't profitable then if you can end up having to pay so much in litigation for doing your job badly... go figure.

I can't speak for NY, but here in Michigan they have been doing testing in the snow. University of Michigan has a track called [Mcity](http://www.mtc.umich.edu/test-facility) that was built last summer specifically for autonomous car testing. This past January at the Detroit Auto Show they announced a plan to [test autonomous cars in the snow.](http://ns.umich.edu/new/multimedia/videos/23397-aut…

You will find these people on any U.N. thread. Every time they post something, the trolls come out.

It's actually pretty interesting. They used English words they were taught and were still completing their tasks but they would use repetition to represent things because it was more efficient. Mostly they shut it down because the developers wouldn't be able to debug easily any more. They will fix and put it back online and I'm sure a small team will be dedicated to study the phenomenon of langua…

> In Madagascar this became a regular ritual usually **once every seven years** It's not like they do this with the recently deceased every other week. The problem is that pneumonic plague is airborne. That makes it as easy to spread as the flu. The dead are probably the least likely vectors of the disease since they don't breathe and cough anymore.

So I've had bacterial meningitis and went into septic shock, is this something similar or just where it attacks? I remember I was quarantined for almost a week in ICU.

Yea I think the hardest part is a complete lack of entry level jobs. Small companies can usually afford an experienced person to run all of a specialized area (IT/Finance/etc), but won't hire entry level people for the role. So to get started you have to move to the city, and then all your friends/connections are there so you stay.

What makes you think Amazon countries would not take the money and cut down the forests anyway? They are not run by the best of the governments.

Most countries were taking their directives from the WHO. The delay I would put more on their shoulders. Experts were just too reliant in them. But once things got serious (major sports leagues tested positive and his wife Sophia) that's when I believe he took on a more proactive approach than thr WHO

WTF? No seriously, what the actual fuck. I'm a software engineer myself but I wasn't aware that AI has gone this far. These people are so real. I also came across this site www.whichfaceisreal.com if someone want to really challenge themselves.

PL/1 and JCL are mainframe things. That's why you don't hear of them in Silicon Valley. But in New York City, OP's mom is worth her weight in gold each year. Fintech: it's not the new hotness. It's what meets regulatory guidelines.

I wouldn't be so certain. Obviously the important bit is "If programmed correctly" but that could lead into a No True Scotsman debate so let's ignore that. But as they are now machines are actually far more likely to be racist than humans. Mainly because they look for patterns even if they shouldn't be there which is almost the definition of racism. Add to that an already racist justice s…

The article doesn't go into great deal about specific nations being contacted so I'm assuming it's more the German government trying to feel out if there even is an interest in the continent to sell their oil rather than a set in stone deal. I could be misreading stuff though so take me with a grain of salt haha

They just think our lives are easier because the U.S. government got GPS satellites put up and had the post office go around geo-tagging every address in the U.S., so we could get to point from point b without getting lost, and they're still pissed about that one. That's really it. That, and we all can drive automatics and most of us do. Like, bro, your rent was 108 bucks, fuck off.

Sure, but the airline pilot understands basic aeronautics theory, and median level signaling and signage. Stick him in the most advanced stealth craft ever and he will understand what's going on even if unable to operate it. It's enough to say that no airplane will ever get to the moon. A few more prices of tech that couldn't really be hidden or independently made are required. Advanced hype…
