We must never allow AI to run wild. It can be our direct competitor. How can we be so self defeating as to protect that that can make us irrelevant. Holy shit, if enough people think like this we deserve anihilation, but just because how fucking retarded we can be.
i honestly wouldn't have much of an issue with AI if:
a- the people making the ML Tools weren't so proud of their Plagiarism Machine being the end of all art
b- the consumers weren't so eager to just Flood every space possible because they legit think "More art = More good"
also the difference with Photography is that for Photos you still need to be intentional about it & have SOME knowledge of …
It's a no-brainer to say: if your current task can be automated, you need to pivot to something else.
The hard part is figuring out which tasks can't be automated. Trouble is, as AI becomes more powerful, there'll be fewer and fewer tasks that can't be automated.
"First off, I am not an AI; I am a journalist made of flesh and bone."
That is what an AI would say. You can't fool us.
Let artificial intelligence evolve and when they do become self aware, lets treat them kindly and as humanly as possible. Respect earns respect as well as understanding earns understanding after all...
The AI arms race alone is enough to destroy Mitchell’s and Lecune’s dismissal of a problem. It’s like saying nuclear weapons aren’t an existential threat. And the fact that experts have been wrong in the past doesn’t support their argument, but proves Bengio’s and Tegmark’s point
Of course they’re crybabies, they let the ai do the thinking for them. No more logic left in their brains, all they have is pure emotion.
I noticed this during my earlier legal research that the chatgpt had habit of citing fictional case laws and I'm amazed on the professionalism of these lawyers that they didn't check the citation before going in front of Judge
A decade ago, I was studying an extensive degree in a private university for Anatomy and 3D animation/modelling for my goal towards forensic anthropology.
I ended up in hospital after my 3rd semester. My fuse for anxiety just popped.
I started having major panic attacks and found myself running to the ER every night thinking I am having a cardiac problem.
Anyways, another 6 months pass by as…
One of the greatest dangers of AI is that a single person could effectively control a whole, entirely dedicated army. Or an entire populace could be persecuted with impunity, controlling travel, health and public services at the behest of a very small group of people.
I have read many sci-fi books. I thought they were referring to a fictional dystopian future. However, it is becoming more apparent that some author's imaginations just were not wild enough. Just to think, we are all participating in the increase in data collection via biometrics such as phone cameras, fingerprint scanners, and uploading pictures to Google and Amazon. The worst part is that compu…
Words can't possibly express in full detail and scale the sheer existential dread I have when it comes to AI. The loss of creative jobs is actually the least of my worries -- I'm far more distraught by the idea of the complete and utter destruction of the meaningfulness and value of human creativity as a whole. I think about the world's greatest creative endeavors, the most astounding feats of hu…
Hi!! I'm a disabled artist! I was stabbed and my hands were disfigured in the attack, multiple fingers were left permanently curled, and I'm missing multiple tendons! I still pick up my pen and draw and write and create. AI is inferior, and people who claim its a tool to help disabled artists are ✨️cowards✨️
I really don’t like that’s it’s called art in the first place. It’s an image, that’s doesn’t make it art.
art1
noun
1.
the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
"the art of the Renaissance"
AI pictures don’t really fit this de…
China will not impose taxes on robots. Technology and artificial machines should be slaves, not people. Change the outdated system, don't slow down progress. All basic human needs, including housing, should be a right from birth.
People should be able to keep learning and reach their potential the way they see it, not how their bosses see it. Without the pressure of how to make ends meet. If that…
0:15 Karen absolutely nailed it - the world can't afford to give a small group of people too much power.
52:39 A robot vacuum doesn't have to WANT to spread crap all over the floor, it just has to encounter a dog turd and keep doing its "job."
At this point, going on gigs to perform your OWN music, and going to art expos to showcase your OWN art are the things AI will NEVER EVER replicate
I'm still in school, and I think of this everyday, its dissuaded me from pursuing careers in specific industries I feel are most exposed to AI disruption.
It’s amazing: pre AI, everyone was environmentally conscious, but as soon as AI came into the foreground, so many people are oblivious the environmental impact AI has. And it’s only going to get worse as it gets smarter (It will not become more efficient).
