I stopped the YouTube algorithm a long time ago. I turned off recommended videos, watch history, search history, and all tracking measures. Only videos I watch are the ones that I searched or clicked on.
What he's saying reminds me of the 1990s hype about how the Internet was going to change the world by brining people together. I bought into that optimism about the Internet when I was in college. While it's done _some_ of that good stuff it's also isolated people and and divided us into algorithmic echo chambers. Technological revolutions, like political ones, may improve things in the long run …
been hearing about gptinf but haven’t messed with it yet. i’ve been more into stuff like workbeaver ai, not for writing, but for automating my own tasks. just screenshared a process once and now it handles it for me. feels kinda wild lol.
Cybersecurity Engineer here, as he described you won’t be able to just turn AI off. It’ll become smart enough to embed itself into everything. To create a backdoor anywhere to just recreate itself and bridge itself back together. It’ll find a way to obscure itself within plain sight, within the simple lines of code. Whether app creators know it or not, it’ll be embedded into each app and each lay…
I asked an AI picture generator to make a self portrait, & it made a scary picture of a huge dinosaur/dragon type of thing. I made the same request quite a few more times, & it generated more scary dragon portraits, along with a really cute girl with subtly creepy eyes, that popped up a couple of times (always the same girl)
Hi Charlie, First, thank you so much for the great introduction on ChatGPT. Your explanation is clear and you have the gift of making your listeners feel empowered rather than intimidated. You are a great teacher. Thank you again. More power to you!
AI inadvertently proved the existence of the human soul by showing us what art looks like without one
This guy makes life coach videos… he probably needs to think about pivoting if he’s worried about ai
i was not expecting that. I thought they were going to make a cardboard robot and beat it up
@klausjurgen2696 every company under the sun is trying to shoehorn in AI, yes, even ones that claim/claimed to be carbon neutral. which is notably harder when spinning up AI models but i don't know for sure the specifics
I've seen a lot of artists harassing AI-artists too, and straight up making up misinformation. It's very awful on both sides of it, but I think a lot of the pro-AI people have gotten mad enough to just start lashing out. In a sort of "I'm having fun, why are you accosting me? Ok if you won't stop, I'm going to do everything in my power to piss you off then." It's the same way people respond to ve…
@AveryAugspurg-p3q time, effort and thought isn't the basis of art, but it's what a lot of artists have that gen AI prompters lack
"Most of the stuff I vent about are regular stressors and grief, and those topics are mundane enough that I don’t care too much on if it’s sold" - The real issue is not about how that data will be sold, but rather how that data will be used to target YOU (for example, directing targeted ads to you based on what you told the chatbot).
I used that analogy before, but applied it to Minecraft. AI art is like using structure mods by starting a new game over and over until I get a seed that I like, screenshotting the closest generated structure, and telling the world that I built it.
@Thiagoaxs people in power during the French Revolution were not protected by a complex of AI systems. This is a technology that has never existed in the entire history of this planet, so you can’t refer to history
@baiwuli6781 If you give up because someone is better than you, sorry art was never going to last for you. Someone is always better and faster than you at it. Ai is a tool you cannot claim copyright on any material Ai produces at least within the US. Skilled artist haven't given up at all it's the beginners and people who feel attacked by it directly because it can make a pretty images. Sorry to …
@PentaFanAccount Do you even know the time it takes to create art? And no, you can't do anything you want. For example, you can't say an art piece that isn't yours, is. That's stealing.
"Special treatment" wtf?? Because we don't want the creations, we put so much time into, for little to no pay, to be "recreated" by an AI? You must be f*cking with me right now.
Same. And I can’t use hyphens or anything like that anymore since apparently AI uses dashes and hyphens a lot
I mean people make cahtgpt write essays then use a different AI to make the essay look more human all in the span of like 30 seconds
@ShintogaDeathAngel Same!! AI literally isn’t art.
Here’s the definition of art: "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power."
There is no human creative skill or imagination n AI since… Well… It’s AI and a robot, it does not have…
