I've seen a lot of artists harassing AI-artists too, and straight up making up misinformation. It's very awful on both sides of it, but I think a lot of the pro-AI people have gotten mad enough to just start lashing out. In a sort of "I'm having fun, why are you accosting me? Ok if you won't stop, I'm going to do everything in my power to piss you off then." It's the same way people respond to vegans, and honestly I can see some similarities with how some artists have gotten so invested in a crusade against AI that they just can't have a conversation about it.
Personally I've had to deal with some getting nasty simply because I shared things like Jazza's video about using AI art, or tried to correct some misinformation that was being shared.
