I can't believe we're already here. 10 years ago it seemed like AI was at least half a century from being this good.

Wow, I was kind of in awe when I saw Andrew Ng's name show up in my YouTube feed. He's such a dominant researcher for anyone studying Machine Learning, you wind up devoting a lot of time learning his work. People respect him so much his opinions towards Computer Sciences practices, or matters such as the Ethics of AI, are never ignored.

I saw another video where they went into detail about the tragedy of the 14yr who passed away. The messages were copied and shared publicly to show how dangerous this is but after reading them I found them ambiguous at best. The teenager told his AI that he has a way to reach her and see her and the AI encouraged the reunion. There was no mention of self-harm in those conversations

Karen Hao's mind is so sharp, as someone working in tech I am inspired and impressed by how she breaks down AI as a technology and as politics. Will be buying her book, was skeptical because 300 interviews sounded boring, but if it is anything like this interview then I'm hooked.

this is honestly very scary to most people who rely on art as a job because most ai generated bots can literally can put artists out of jobs that they fought very very hard for especially online artists who with just a click of a button can have their art stolen with no credit and no consent.
