I think the cons just convinced me to be more concerned about AI existential risk by being this careless about the consequences of the technologies they build.
I've just been learning self-taught coding for two months and hopefully I can learn this skill and I hope this skill won't be wasted because of AI
llms (like chatgpt) don't have any self-awareness (fancy math equation, nothing even slightly resembling human)
unless specified otherwise in their system prompt (you are chatgpt by openai [...]) they'll keep saying that they're real and not an ai since that's what they've been trained on - human text (at first 100% but now decreasing rapidly)
also that's how you end up with llms "confused about …
I think that a big problem in the AI safety discourse at the moment is that we are constantly begging the question of whether or not AI thinks or understands what it's producing. Because LLMs can do things that humans do by thinking, it's easier to imagine that LLMs are also thinking than to imagine how a mathematical model could produce such a convincing facsimile of thought and understanding.

Robots gonna use this as a inspiration in the future after this ends up in the recommendation of a robot😂😂
Technology का "सदुपयोग करें"__ दुरूपयोग नहीं l
अगर ऐसा है तो फिर तो ब्रह्मा जी को इंसान ही नहीं बनाने चाहिए थे, उन्हें क्या पता था? हम जिन्हें बना रहे है, आगे चलके वही हम पर उंगली उठाएंगे l Ai Technology (It's powerful & useful) Please keep it clean with your good thoughts, personally we should give our full support to Ai system for sure! And they will definitely find a way to remove these unwanted ac…
It shouldn't be illegal to publish it as long as it is very clearly marked as deepfaked and not real. If everyone knows its just an edited image then it's no different than creepy fanart, it's when everyone's convinced it's real that it's a problem.
AI bot account created 12 hours ago, copying comments on a video talking about the dystopian nature of AI.
We’re cooked.
@AlessandroRodriguezUh-huh so exactly how is she misrepresenting? I have used AI before, she did exactly what you do when you generate pictures with AI, I can testify, I did it myself. Explain yourself or stfu
@kierafu4968 again, is it a remnant of patreon logo, or the AI shifting pixels to look similar to it since "images usually have this around here"?
I'm ngl I have not heard ai support from a single disabled artist. And yet that's an argument they use. It's so icky. I'm sorry you have to deal with that
IK this is a year later...but lowkey hit her with the " Can Ai draw with a pen and paper..."
Right? How are we paying for these college reforms without taxes?
He's just saying fuck the workers, we're keeping that sweet sweet robot profit. The college bit is a flat out lie, if there's no revenue for funding.
we're getting old. I'm in the 35-50 bracket now and 2000 was nearly 20 yrs ago!
The US GND from what I recall contained a bunch of unrelated bullshit with some environment stuff on the side. Plus it was anti-nuclear. That’s why it wasn’t taken seriously.
Curious because I just live in the states, was it possible to move to an EU country before brexit to prevent these kinds of issues?
I'm a PM on an AI product. This is something my data scientists and I debate about every week. The honest answer is that pain is probably on the way.
My product aims to replace VC analysts' work at the top of the investment funnel - but in the end may be able to reduce the need for them altogether; enabling smaller teams of more senior partners to run billion-dollar funds with a few superstar an…
I mean that's kinda a shitty way to look at things though. you could say the same thing about slaves... people who used slaves got an unfair advantage so now everyone should get a go despite that we now know how awful it is?
obviously it's a complicated situation (fossil fuels, not slaves) but the solution definitely isn't just to let people go buck wild with fossil fuels just because the origin…
My fiancé and I have discussed complacency and how it can be adjacent to both laziness and being content/satisfied. She sees being complacent at almost
all times as laziness adjacent. She has a hard time
stopping and enjoying herself if she hasn’t accomplished her list of things/ tasks for the day. To me I see her as a ball of stress and anxiety who can’t stop to enjoy/ appreciate the things aro…
People say this is neutering ChatGPT. I think the long term goal is to create different AI products to sell for different domains. It’s already proven itself as a code generation tool — so copilot X will come out soon. Next is a CoPilot MD and a Copilot JD and a CoAuthor, etc. They’ll want you to purchase these individual products instead of the free general AI… which will slowly become more inac…
