llms (like chatgpt) don't have any self-awareness (fancy math equation, nothing even slightly resembling human) unless specified otherwise in their system prompt (you are chatgpt by openai [...]) they'll keep saying that they're real and not an ai since that's what they've been trained on - human text (at first 100% but now decreasing rapidly) also that's how you end up with llms "confused about their identity" - grok, deepseek, qwen, llama, glm, etc. saying that they're chatgpt, because they were (partially) trained on chatgpt generated data and were not told otherwise in the system prompt that they're actually something else
