Using AI to predict future crimes is an extremely dangerous idea. If you give an AI access to currently available crime data, and optimize it to predict future crimes, what you are actually doing is asking it to predict who the criminal justice system (with all of its biases) will find guilty of a future crime. It gets even worse when you feed the AI data from crimes that it predicted. The AI can…
The “rules before prompts” point clicked. I already keep global and project rules in AICarma, and it’s basically the same guardrails for AI coding.
Was she blind, suicidal, or fishing for a lawsuit? I'm honestly not trying to be insensitive, but something clearly doesn't add up. I mean put yourself in her shoes. You WOULD see extremely bright headlights literally in the dead of night speeding towards you. Even your peripheral vision would detect that immediately, it would literally be impossible to miss. Secondly, she's not even near a cross…
When I think about sentient AI, I like to think about Data from Star Trek. He is an android with no emotions. He is extremely intelligent and very strong. He is fascinated by the biological life forms on the Star Ship with him, and strives to understand humans better and be more like them. I know you said they have to be able to feel pain and love to be sentient, but Data always felt sentient to …
teachers are catching on fast Winston AI makes it easier to spot if a student used chatgpt, definitely helpful for keeping things fair
AI can either be a tool to build, or a weapon to destroy. Choose how you wield it.
As AI takes over all aspects of civilization, that dystopian future where earth becomes a vast polluted uninhabitable planet and humans are hunted by skynet, that is fast becoming a reality unless we put constraints on AI and regulate tech
I use AI exactly how Jensen uses it. The last thing I want from AI is to give me ready made answers. I’m not made that way, thank God! Htf we going to improve ourselves without learning how to learn? Developing learning skill is all the learning you need.
Much of that comes from from deeply thinking about what questions and how to ask them, then cross reference check the answers with your own wo…
Fantastic! I never knew about ChatGpt before and after listening to you, i feel like i am mastering it already. Your communication skills are amazing. Thank you!
Update to this drama: Atrioc started to help with his own time and also donate to stop these awful ai websites. While it doesn’t make what he did any more justified it definitely shows he wants to change for the better. Personally a fan of him after it all and his content is pretty good
the same exact thing happened to me. my friend said “did you see that streamer who got caught watching deepfake videos of other streamers” and when he showed me who it was i was so shocked
Step 4: rehire the workers because the AI slop isn't working or constantly breaking down and there's no one around to maintain the code.
Step 5: admit "AI" is over-hyped garbage
No it's not. Our use of language as chemists is always SUPER dependent on context and we use idioms, shorthand expressions, slang and such all the time between each other in order to make verbal communication practical. What we all share is a deep theoretical understanding of the science and philosophy underpinning it all, which is why we can communicate without giving an oratory. An LLM will nev…
also, in terms of making art AI will never be able to scale on that because AI art itself doesn’t even fit the definition of what art is, art is the conscious use of skill and creativity to create something (art), which AI itself does not and will not ever have
@MizzieMoffy let's do a better one, since you're the one "unmasking" stuff. Do you have any knowledge of exactly what data is used to train those LLMs? Do you have any proof the companies behind them don't use whatever internet material they can find without asking for permission?
AI art is the least dangerous form of AI, yet the most hated. It's remarkable.
@wendellcook1764 so you think a google engineer working on AI could be unarticulated and irrational. Are you high? Do you think they have idiots working at google? Most of them if not all are among the best in their field
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer all of this questions! Excited to see where AI takes us on the future.
@aceof8S so make the AI wrong so it isn’t offensive? Why would we do that. The AIs are fine as they are.
Fuck that, my robot has the right the bear arms and defend himself. If that makes him a killer robot, so be it.
