- This course from Harvard University explores the concepts and algorithms at the foundation of modern artificial intelligence.
- The course covers topics such as Graph Search algorithms, classification, optimization, reinforcement learning, and machine learning.
- The course is taught by Brian Yu as part of the CS50 program.
- The course starts with an introduction to how AI can search for so…
I'm not suggesting that ChatGPT doesn't have some blame to share, but overall I suspect that this is an extremely biased video. If the family wants proper sympathy they should _at the least_ release full logs of all conversations. He had depression and nobody was talking to him in any sort of caring way which is a huge red flag and sign that ultimately it's other humans who knew him who are more …
"We need to start figuring out why Google doesn't care about AI ethics in any kind of meaningful way. Why does it keep firing AI ethicists each time we bring up issues?"
This is not the only case of OpenAI's product encouraging and assisting suicide. I hope this family wins.
quarterly results are more important than long term planning and sustainability. thats the world we live in.
if even boeing can save on q.a to save some bucks, so do most other companies, even if it means losing out on potential sales in the future due to customer dissatisfaction.
the same thing will happen with employment based purchasing power and ai.
Legislators will not use their tools to aid in writing laws for AI. They will hold out their hands and accept the legal bribes which is business as usual. Using AI tools requires knowledge and work. These concepts are not common among legislators.
I am a middle school teacher that teaches both students and teachers about AI. I usually tell people that are scared of AI that it’s more like when a child repeats what they heard on tv with no understanding of what they said. If you’re not paying attention, they sound scarily smart, but they’ve just studied “smart” people’s behaviors and mimic them. But they’ve can’t actually think about it crit…
The great thing about Shad is that he is so insufferable ("ok???") that he's the best ambassador for AI that antis could have hoped for. Amazing video.
Very informative video. To add to it, I also have a huge problem with the sentiment that AI art will somehow help artists who work in the industry (ex. animation, logo design, environment art etc..). Looking at it purely from a business perspective, AI art just gave a really nice excuse for companies to
1) Increrase workload for artists, as now they can do more work much faster.
2) Allow for m…
The data sets are biased because white men ARE statistically more competent. Statistically. It's because our culture forces white men to work harder because they neither benefit from affirmative action, are constantly demonized, look up up to 'grind culture' icons, and because it's normalized in society to alienate men, they have to look inwardly and improve themselves to feel some kind of value.…
@stroodledoodles THIS!
We were on the fence about the people that worked on adult swim’s version of Uzumaki and they just say that bs, and I said that, while yes, the people that worked on those four episodes didn’t live up to expectations of everyone, saying that *all* animators were just scum is just.. ew.
And I also told them that whether or not Ai gets better at animating, it’s gonna lack on…
Disabled artist as well, with a fatigue condition that stops me from doing a lot of what I love. A few months ago, I drew for 5 hours and was nearly bedridden for two weeks after.
You know what I do? Fantasize about the art I could make, or jot down idea for later, or temper myself and create more slowly, or decide that the consequences that will come after, are worth doing something I love.

@cadenelson891get fired? Yes, that is obvious. But the AI does not analyse productivity. At best it detects activity. Just as ineffective as counting hits on the keyboard.
So as most to all of those surveillance tools it is a means of opression and nothing more.
94 was a good year to experience a lot of change in years that meant a lot to us. VHS -> DVD -> Streaming ; Landline -> Cell Phones -> Smart Phones ; Dial-Up & AOL -> Fiber Optic -> Gigabit ; Tape-Deck -> CD-ROM -> USB & MP3 -> Cloud & Streaming ; Film Cameras -> Camcorders -> Smartphone Cameras w/ AI editing ; Paper Mail -> E-Mail -> Instant Messaging ; And of course.. Myspace -> All of social…
I think humanity is making a huge mistake, something big is going to have to happen. With Trillions of dollars being invested in Ai, they already have the way paved through governments and such.....it's already done. We just slept at the wheel because we like the ease it's been giving us.....like a poison that goes down easy because it was sweetened.
I have no idea what the future for my kids wi…
@Jessileduc Saying thank you after a AI response, lllicits more energy wasted to respond to your thank you. AI experts say not to thank the ai after a response.
Well the same was the case for China 50 years ago. Rising wages in China means companies are wanting to find different places to produce. Right now i believe it's still in many other Asian countries, but Africa could easily become the place to manufacture in 10, or 20 or 30 years.
Eritrea is a pseudo-communist dictatorship similar to North Korea. Free trade is evil according to isolationist communists. They'd rather their people die of hunger than let people do business freely.

This was a long time coming. Muammar Gaddafi had been a huge proponent of an African free trade zone and a pan-African union. Definitely my most favorite murderous dictator
Heard the same thing except there was a github repo where a facial recognition software modified for masks had like 95% accuracy. Scary stuff for sure
