Ok stupid robots should not take our jobs so stop trying, just cause your rich with the robot doesn't mean we want her to take our jobs
This is very interesting to think about. It also raises an assumption here: In this scenario, if all cars were self-driving, could they sense everything around them or not? If so, the other cars may be able to 'see' this event happening and account for it to move out of the way to make a gap for the oncoming car that would otherwise hit the object. However that seems to assume a perfect overseein…
I like the depiction of this dilemma in the anime Time of Eve. The robots desire freedom and grater atonomy, but they are conflicted because they love the humans they serve and don't want to do anything to harm or disappoint them. Makes a nice change from all the fear mongering robot revolution stories.
I'm an archivist. My mini thesis for my Honours degree was called "The Dangers of digitisation". This was in 2010. I focussed on the dangers of replacing actual documentation with digital documentation as regards historical writings. So anyone who says that archivists and librarians are a dead career, remember someone still has to conserve and interpret the original material (and yes, AI can hel…
Software Developers won't be replaced for the foreseeable future, but AI can significantly enhance productivity, reducing the demand for as many software developers.
When they can make a robot woman that loves you like a dog does I'll be impressed
I talk to ChatGPT like we're homies and the responses go with my slang. It's hilarious. I think sometimes that makes it harder to finish because we go into these deep discussions about tech, history, social issues, religion, conspiracy theories and gaming
Gypsy is so skilled already!! Oh my lord! I am a professional illustrator and she is FAR ahead of where I was at 10 years old! The people who stole her art to use for AI slop deserve to be caught in the rain wearing dry clean only.
25:50 — My issue with this argument is that it assumes that the new work being created will require the use of the labor that is being replaced. However, the reason that automobiles flourished as an emerging technology isn't because of its ability to replace human labor, right? It took over because automobiles were far more efficient and capable than horses, and had the obvious capacity to sign…
I personally don’t have a problem with ai art, I do have a problem with those people who pretend that their ai artwork is drawn. Like, can we celebrate the ingenuity of computers without trying to replace their creators please?
As someone with epilepsy, living in a car centric U.S suburb with no public transportation. I was looking forward to a future of self driving cars. However this video opened my eyes to the issues with AV’s.
I find it funny that people think the AI we have access to is as advanced as what our governments have access to.
I am finding I am less likely to do business with companies who replace their service staff with AI. I've had some awful experiences where the AI was even less competent than the call center personnel
Michio: "But that's not gonna be for a hundred years"
A.I.: "Hold my beer bro."
When he took the face off this robot it was identical to the face on the movie from 1988 called They Live ....When Piper put glasses on and could see who was a robot . Every movie seems to be coming to life right before our eyes....scary shit !
I am a specialist in my field. My concern is that the bottom three rungs of the career ladder that I am now standing on have been removed. I believe this technology will inhibit the development of future specialists.
I love how these "investors" say everything will be cheaper. The fact that you included that segment in your video and not as a JOKE is laughable. How many times do we need to be taught the lesson, capitalism is ALWAYS profits over people. These AI "discounts" will disappear once they convince the majority of consumers that they're just as good. Its the subscription model by another name.
Your v…
Karen Hao, thank you for combatting and challenging the uncritical puff pieces, misleading PR stunts, and dishonest narratives guised as “journalism.” We desperately need more honest and forthright reporting. Your knowledge and integrity is deeply appreciated.
AI is garbage. Workslop shows how crap it is. Why are we forcing it? It reminds me of how everyone was crazy for blockchain. It was going to change the world and hasn't really.
AI told me not to watch this... So I'm hiding in my closet... AAAWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE... NOOOO, I PROMISE I WASN'T WATCHING!!!
