Alright anyone think laughing on the fact that an AI threatened to wipe us out is not really a good idea
Saying AI makes making art accessible is like saying using cheats makes playing multiplayer games accessible.
It just robs you of the experience of actually making the art/playing the game and learning something, and robs others of having an enjoyable experience too.
I am tremendously concerned about America’s blatant refusal to take into consideration regulating AI, to protect our resources that are used en masse by AI, and protect American jobs. Thank you Senator Sanders for speaking on this.
People are actually becoming insentient because they're overusing LLMs and have forgotten how to think and come up with new ideas.
Things like Arcane is an example of this. There is so much meaning, symbolizing, everything has a spefic reason for being there, even as something simple as jinx's nails reads so much into how she as a current charater and who she. It's thing like that AI COULD NEVER REPlICATE.
Studio Ghibli took years so animate a four second scene of the background. because the smallest details mattered.

I appreciate the AI content recently. It’s the most important challenge we face in our lives most likely.
@joycegriffin1290You can't "give consent" to a person just looking at your art and getting inspiration from it, so why should the choice be an option for AI?
They won't need senior staff in 10 years, that will be all AI, so no point training Juniors to become seniors, that's just a waste of money. That's how I see things going. Most people will just slow down a company with their questions and mistakes.
If a disabled person cant draw but can type, be a writer. Thats your art form. Be a fcking writer. Youre still an artist but the ai slop in ANY form whether its sound, images or writing, its not art. The prompt that was written is better art than anything ai can generate.
This is why people talk about how dangerous it is to anthropomorphise AI. At its core, it's just a very advanced pattern recognition algorithm
No absolutely not. Why would that be interesting? Oh look there the ai fucked up bc it doesn‘t know how to be originally. Oh how uncanny valley is that whole galery. And not bc it’s Intentionally uncanny valley bc the artist wanted to bring out those feelings. It’s bc the robot is just not human.
No please let’s not do this.
Well I'm sure you're right, but don't you find it amusing that Alberta has moved on from denial to anger?
For someone so insanely sure ai won't be capable of doing her job, her reaction here belies her actual fears.
Actually, for the last 15-20 years or so the major countries have been developing missiles that DO make decisions. Various missiles have a mode where you launch it into an area, giving it only GPS coordinates, and then the missile looks for anything threatening and takes it out. The "problem" some have is that our autonomous target detection systems are not perfect. In fact, one test a decade ago…
Your perspective is too modern. Wealth doesn't mean education in China. At least a well rounded one. The Cultural Revolution lasted 10 years and literally stopped education for an entire generation. Mao sent all students either to work or to the fields to receive political reinforcement.
Then after it ended a minority went back for college for technical education without any humanities but mo…
Quite frankly, Australians could do with holding an anti-authoritarian rally about the state of Australia.
That said - we should all support HK. They have shown enormous courage.
This happened two days ago just so you know. It was apparently to get their “AI models out faster.” Aka ChatGPT 4.0.
According to the article
>The NYPD robot pooch Digidog got a new leash on life Tuesday — and police leaders insist it’s not the dystopian surveillance nightmare it was made out to be the first time New Yorkers got a look at it.
>
>Two years after the robot landed the NYPD in the doghouse with civil rights advocates, Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell promised to keep New Yorkers ab…
Can you imagine what will happen once google AI gets really “good”? People will no longer have to actually visit websites to get the information contained within, starving those websites of ad income to the point where any website that doesn’t use a subscription model will not be able to survive. Independent content will dry up nearly completely.
A lot of stock footage of happy people I would guess? Similar to how a lot of AI selfies of non-existent people are smiling because it’s been trained mostly on generic stock photos.
100%. You basically just summarized the entire reason I built this thing. You get it completely. It's for everyone who doesn't instinctively know how to be a great "foreman" for the AI yet.
