So I’m a writer, and just for fun, I ran some of my old work through an AI detector. Turns out it flagged my writing as 80% AI-generated… except I wrote it years before AI even existed! The irony is both hilarious and annoying. 💀

Just because it gets better at imitating someone with sentience does not mean it is getting closer to having it. Well the issue is that they don't *actually* care whether a disabled person like me or a kid like the 10 year old in the video are able to access art. They want to use us as a morality shield until we push back against them. Gen AI has stolen from and hurt more disabled people and more young artists than it has helped.

I think an AI-type search engine has a very real chance of challenging Google in the coming decade. They are actively working on creating their own but it's time for competition.

Because they're trying to downsize, and making the robot fuckable was cheaper than paying unemployment insurance.

This is the real problem, not AI. But a CEO who cans 75% of the workforce is going to get a massive raise so why wouldn't they? I'm middle management/HR. According to the article, the AI images were based off a 12 year old version of her. I had to Google her age, which probably landed me on some list, but she was born in 2007 which would make her 17 now. Her Disney Channel show ran from 2019 to 2021, so there would have been tons of public imagery of her from that period of time to train the AI on.

I figured I prompted it incorrectly so I specifically asked for lanus Sebastian of Linus Media group and it then presented me with an Asian woman.
