@6wild6flower6My friend, the current "AI" are just large language models. You might as well be saying your phone's word prediction could become sentient some day. Just because it gets better at imitating someone with sentience does not mean it is getting closer to having it.
The kind of AI that has a functioning sentience could exist someday but it's not what big tech is working on rn
