This will happen with an AI too. Except the person on the stand will be the hospital that chose to replace the radiologist with an AI, or the creator of the AI itself. Since an AI can't be legally liable for anything.
And then the AI will be adjusted to reduce that risk for the hospital. Because ultimately, hospitals don't actually care about accuracy of diagnosis. They care about profit, and fa…
'Our facial recognition software is 99.9% accurate!'
'So in a city of 1,000,000, it will identify 1,000 innocent people as the criminal?'
'... Next question!'
It's pretty new. The ease of doing it, the qualify of it, and the fact that it's fully AI, so less obvious to tell it's fake. Previously you could tell it was an actresses head copied onto a known porn pic or something, or the wrong body. This is trained on real pictures of her, and harder to differentiate.
The other HUGE difference is that those pictures from the 90's were relegated to dark …
Cheaper foreign labour will replace us long before ai, and well, that's sort of already happening with many companies electing to hire devs in India for a fraction of the cost
>and didn’t appreciate the attempt to hoodwink them
This.
All the companies doing this, or if you're a manager thinking of doing this... You would be putting your ENTIRE BUSINESS in a situation where you're *one* conversation (with each client) away from these words:
"So what are we paying **you** for?"
Because if they **come to believe** they can replace your contract with an intern tappi…
I mean the big thing is that they CANNOT ever make an informed decision. It’s not about the training data as it is about the type of fundamental model used. They are LLM’s - they have no ability or function for reasoning a response. They can just guess what the mostly likely next word will be. There is no understanding and people attributing any form of intelligence to these is far more dangerous…
Oh god. Our VP (1 out of the 7 of them for a small 400 person company) was trying to share that he made a list and was able to ask AI to alphabetically organize it. He then shared that he's being mindful with how he uses AI, for environmental reasons of course.
A coworker questioned the VPs use of AI, and said that could've just been done in a spreadsheet.
They're now asking staff to find way…
User : make an image of white family.
Gemini writes an essay on how wrong it is to ask for such hateful image.
User : make an image of black family.
Gemini : sure, here are some images.
I think the AI bubble is popping. The hype really hit a wall this month. I feel like for the first time since 2022 I haven't heard anything about AI, it's like the development stopped.
I actually predicted this 10 years ago
We need to boycott Amazon
Boycott all AI companies
I am cackling at the thought of the AI that replaces me having to deal with Microsoft or Broadcom support. The AI might just do itself in.
I spent 7 hours yesterday with AI, trying to get some problem solved with some tool yesterday. I used chatGPT, Claude and Grok. Do you know what i got out of it?
AI: if you put your dick in a mixer, all the bacteria will be killed, it works as well or even better than soap
Me: Are you sure? That does not sound right.
AI: You are absolutely right, putting your dick inside a mixer will not w…
Just cancel it. We all need to send the message that this wasn’t okay. They’ll only listen if the money stops flowing in. They cut us off…cut them off too
I have had some of the most incredible conversations with AI and this is such a nice window into other people who clearly use it the same way. The people who are negative about AI have no idea.
I've waited all my life to beat up my robot wife legally don't you fucking dare take it away from me!
Is not only AI. A lot of companies are reducing the headcount by offshoring most of their workforce to India and other countries. We need regulation to at least remove incentives for companies to offshore
And now they’re trying to put self driving 18 wheelers on the road somebody make it make sense
It's almost like AI is creating reference images to poison human artists with bizarre buttons and wonky hands.
6:26 "trust and transparency are crucial, uh, whether in human interactions or A.I" did this mf just say "uh" like he's thinking mid sentence 😂😂
I have a friend who is an artist, but she really supports AI art. I don’t know what to do to convince her that it’s not okay. She doesn’t care that it steals from artists, she doesn’t care about the environmental concerns. I just don’t know what to do.
Edit: I realized the way I phrased this was a bit off, she doesn’t not care about the environment, but more like she’s ignorant to it and wheneve…
