I saw this coming before now. I foresaw the impact of AI on the job market and left the employment cycle. I worked 60+ hour workweeks before I retired at 42. The job market evolving rapidly, think of forging your own path fast. I wish I'd pursued financial independence sooner than I did.

Incompetence is worse than corruption when it comes to development. Look at China for the last 30 years to see that a competent government can bring a huge economic growth despite widespread corruption.

The courts are having a big problem with this, as people keep submitting AI generated stuff that *appears* to be good work but has critical errors. It then causes delays as people try to figure out what the hell is going on. My first year, first semester of uni I did a history of early china class, and the professor told us to use chatgpt to translate an obscure old location name. I instead spent like 20 minutes cross referencing maps, ancient texts, and baidu to find the correct translation, and when I asked if I was right, he was like "why didn't you just use ai?"

As an artist I'm not at all threatened by AI. I was already not making a living as an artist.
