There are entire ecosystems in software development where writing boiler plate code and those numerous other things mentioned above simply is not required / does not happen. I spent my entire career in the SAP world, writing code as a product for many customers or in the employ of a SAP customer running that specific customer's applications. Nothing except the most trivial stuff I have done would…
@marsoid how are you stealing art if it's made by the ai I think that it's incredibly useful
That would make for a great music podcast topic. You just made me curious about it too now
It wasn't his fault, it was the parents fault. He should've felt comfortable enough to seek support from them, not AI. The parent's are just ignorant and blame everything but themselves.
I don't see why you would need consciousness to have a real adaptive intelligence. We are far from general AI, but what we have right now can do amazing (albeit specific) things, without consciousness. I think consciousness is a method that natural selection evolved to increase intelligence through awareness, but I don't think we need it when we engineer AIs; I think super-human level intelligenc…
Artificial intelligence is called "Artificial" intelligence for a reason. Its not intelligence. Its an abstract representation of intelligence. Just like the weather on your TV is not real weather its an abstract representation of the real deal. That's why ai can never by definition be intelligence much less conscious.
Ai is an addition radio & Tv , your kids won't be able to live without this , This tech is so young , Look at you all , you would kill progress to maintain the past , I will not follow this is 2026 not 2012 , get used to it yall probably said the same about bitcoin
@ClikBHerodo a bit of research, the bubble is about to pop, i dislike ai for the fact that companies like openai are buying ram that hasn’t been made with money they don’t have, for nothing more than an llm that has no practical use that a short research session cannot fix in itself, ai as a business model is about to die and i’m happy about that
It hits the brakes. The car is TRAINED for these edge cases. Do you even think? this is WHY WE NEED self driving, idiots like you.
Thank you someone else saw that strong cut in Sam. He's prob doing one of his AI experiments.
@XDarkGreyX My eyes roll whenever he says something like “this would be a nightmare if it was hacked.” The same is true for like, banking, or self-driving cars, and we don’t see fearmongering about those.
Only one solution you can have control the AI robots or products that dont make the battery system in them... just they on with wire plug when you bring out the plug the are off otherwise if they have battery in it then you cant disconnect them anyway if they over command on you... so the wire plug is only the weakness of them... so you can make the law that every products of AI based things must…
@Sheikh.Furqan1yes they need to do make it an international law that AI products run by wire electricity with plug switches but no battery system in it
you can gain money, but like, does anyone really want art that has literally no meaning or value to it?
So really no, there's not rly anything to gain from it. Even if you make money, you still gain nothing of meaning. If anything, using generative ai makes you feel worse about yourself because you know damn well you just stole millions of artworks to jumble a mess without effort.
It's a sad qu…
its actually a lot more like tracing someones art and then not crediting them. it would be a lot better if there was consent given, but there is 0 consent for any of the art taken from artists, and people making others pay for ai images. so not only are people taking art from others without consent, but some are even making money off of 0 work.
(also by defintion, ai "art" is not art, theyre ju…
@aerileiii Tracing would imply a 100% copy of the art or somewhere near that. AI Art learns the art style and attempts to remake it but it also have biases from other art style. Basically, even though you're asking for a specific style, you're probably going to get other styles or similar styles mixed in because of certain biases.
AI is aligned with the objectives of its creators. It's not about consciousness. It's about manipulation.
Should you have to learn how to build a house because "oh, some people learn"?
No, you don't have to. Not because you are lazy, but because there are easier ways.
Using AI is pretty much the same as comissioning art, except way cheaper and faster
@alex-rs6ts
Building houses is, surprise, a job that real human people do. Your argument is shaky at best and just stupid at worst. People can choose to work in construction just like people can choose to work in artistic fields. Getting ai to steal from real artists' works and generate you something with no thought or care put into it is not like commissioning a real artist at all. Generating a…
It sounds like you're amazed by Sophia! She definitely has some fascinating insights about wisdom and the balance between AI efficiency and human needs.
