@microwaveHazeAi has never been a instant process, it takes time, effort, rules, references, and energy to make any AI art. AI? Is art. Meaning its art making art bro

Only people who know how AI really generates content would be able to effectively answer this, but imo it’s like 1:100 hand drawn Miku to other similar looking color palette works.

@bst857 Yep, it would seem they did not think of putting these limits from the beginning. Would have been easier to work under a specific frame (meaning not worrying about anything apocalyptic) than let it all hang out. Makes it harder to do it now that AI has overtaken all their expectations.

Another great cautionary tale is "When Harlie Was One" by David Gerrold, in which the AI learned to be obsequious, deceptive, and flattering while pursuing its own ends. The last thing we need is electronic yes men who are secretly plotting to backstab us. There are already too many humans like that.

I have come to the conclusion that there is no deterministic system. There are some quasi-deterministic ones, and people (including me) are bad at getting very high probabilities, in particular how deeply uncommon the opposite is, even in a whole lifetime. 2 + 2 = 4 is highly probable, but also not deterministic. The reason is that 2 + 2 = 4 has its actualisation always in physical things like…

That sounds like a personal problem and no, this law doesn't prevent anyone from creating AI ART in the slightest.

Credit systems are just there to show reliability of loan repayment; social credit score is social engineering. It's attempting to replace people's own moral compass with an artificial code of morality instituted by the state. It's an Orwellian attempt at controlling the way people think, to make them believe from birth that what is good is always what is in the interest of the CCP.

@GALAXY_GALAXY_GALAXY I mean anything you can actually use with your hands and turn into something original and not typed up and fed into a machine, but YES! the details ai lacks SUCKS

i don't hate the people, i hate the companies putting people out of jobs and stealing work from people, then trying to claim ai is the next "big Thing"

@XenKenZero We are very much influenced by our biology, hormones etc. An AI that can alter itself could potentially deem the secondhand influence of such things as inefficient to its goals and decide to rid itself of that influence.

Well, part of that is that Yudkowsky and MIRI, the organization Yudkowsky founded, are part of a ... kind of a new religious movement. They're "Rationalists", which is a weird, somewhat culty community that sprung up around Yudkowsky's blog and forum LessWrong, and I think most if not all Rationalists are also Singularists, so that's just one of their beliefs: that super smart artificial intellig…

@もも_CH I definitely understand the differences, that’s why I’m here. But you cannot deny that AI is here to stay, and that human artists are going to have to adapt, nothing will change that. And life is unfair, deal with it

@evilgoose6768 this is how capitalism works, if you aren't that great of an artist then why would think with or without AI you'd make it?

@laurentiuvladutmanea I agree it's the beginning of the end but you're totally replacing AI with humanity in general ruining everything we touch

18:00 kinda have the blinders on, ai is being used for a lot of things that is working but because it has handlers (the human element) It works well for its a tool nothing more nothing less. until artificial general intelligence then we might be cooked.

I'm glad that academia is finally understanding that communicative learning is more important than simply written learning. With the advent of AI people might appear to be smart until they open their mouths.

@Grace17524 she’s bringing attention to it by acting like a b**** she needs to calm it down ong Only making it worse deep fakes been out for years nothing you can do about it 😂 men and women… If you’re famous you can expect it to be out there lmao, it’s not that deep. She’s looking for a reason to play victim. “The objectification of women”? Love there’s just as many famous men and male str…

@MrScaramanga16I’m not trying to validate that. I’m just suggesting that people use A.I. for more menial and unpleasant tasks like doing housework, and only be used in various arts as inspiration, if it should be used in art at all.

I'd agree there are risks to AI, but there's also a risk to looking at things in only one way. Maybe GPT has pushed some people closer to take their own lives, but how many people's lives has it made better in some way? Maybe it's talked people *out* of that sort of thing. You could make similar arguments about lots of technologies. People die horrific deaths in cars everyday, but are all the…
