It’s going to be funny when an interpol red notice is served for Putin. Considering how much Russia has abused that system to capture people aboard that they wanted to silence.
This is a great question and something we don’t have an answer to.
For context, in my past I built automated solutions for identifying CSAM in digital forensics investigations.
No machine can understand the difference between a 17 year old nipple and one that’s 19 years old. People can’t either unless there’s a way to prove -who- the nipples owner is.
I have no idea how this is going to play …
no the older demographic still occupy the positions, and keep in mind as population dwindles so does demand and thus jobs
My company is also at the point where 75% of code is written by AI, and no one understands the code bases anymore. AI, while it can write code fast, writes way too much code and a lot of it is shitty code. It’ll write a whole class to do something I could do in three lines of code with an API call. It writes that whole class faster than I can write three lines of code tho, so that’s why it’s used…
So for those who are going through school now, the advice is to immerse yourself in the tools, become native with them, so you can more easily find a career which lasts your lifetime. Well, what about everyone else living and working right now, who have had jobs for decades which haven't needed these tools but will eventually be replaced by AI? I feel that a lot of people are going to be left beh…
37:36 The irony of Brandon Sanderson saying AI artists are not artists, and then going to a shot of Shad sitting in front of his collection of Brandon Sanderson books XD
I think AI in arts will only end up like a different genre of art like how industrial era of music is, a tastless cash grab with no real passion. And manually created art will still have some still favoring.
This guy looks like he was on his way to a relaxing day at the beach when he got a call that he had to be at this conference. "Shit! The robot conference is today!"
01:07 🌍 AI has current impacts on society, including contributions to climate change, use of data without consent, and potential discrimination against communities.
02:08 💡 Creating large language models like ChatGPT consumes vast amounts of energy and emits significant carbon dioxide, which tech companies often do not disclose or measure.
03:35 🔄 The trend in AI is towards larger models, which c…
I'm not a real fan of your work, in fact I don't think I've even once fully watched one your videos. But I admire you for what you're doing, I am no artist, but I'd like to thank you for the wonderful work you're doing and the inspiration you provide for the artist community. As a simple consumer, I will always thrive to support real artists and deny ai art in whichever way I can. This isn't a lo…
> I’d like to see Hannity or Tucker defend that.
Alas, you almost certainly will not. Fox News has a nasty habit of taking neutral events and spinning them right, while flat-out ignoring events that are so bad they can't be spun.
It's actually pretty hilarious sometimes. You know how some web browsers and apps automatically offer you a list news stories when you open them up? Check those …
It's an interesting idea. I'll look for another data entry position. It's amazing how much companies ignore about what can be done with tech
Google:
"We have a policy against creating sentient AI"
Also Google:
"We code our AI's to fail Turing tests so it's impossible to tell if they're sentient."
Hmmmm...
Its weakness:
1. Stairs (Doesn't have legs to climb)
2. Ocean (It can't swim)
3. Small gap in walls (Small enough that you can fit, but the police robot can't)
4. Wall (It can't climb wall)
"This new form of AI excels at modeling human intuition rather than human reasoning"
- Geoffrey Hinton
Karen Hao in Chinese means "Good Karen".
Let it from now on be known that this is the new gold standard of Karens in the world.
Great reporting
I hate AI as much as everyone else but I don't think blaming this kids suicide on AI is fair. The kid was mentally ill and needed support.
The clapping and the laughing faded away when the ai said that
Edit: thanks guys I’ve never gotten this much likes
Which is precisely why I don't like calling it art. Art has intent, AI image gens inherently don't have intent despite having content.
Very powerful statement, scary but also powerful. Think about an individual starting a business, for pennies on the dollar they can hire a dozen strong AI as workers to produce value for society. On a larger scale we will see many new and creative companies that will ultimately benefit everyone.
If you could start a business and have 10 white collar workers working under your command, what woul…
