They’ve been screaming fast food was going to be automated out of existence for 3 decades. McDonald’s tried to implement AI ordering and it started ordering infinite food and blatantly wrong orders. If you are afraid of being replaced by AI that can’t even replace an order taker, whew boy.
Edit: you guys. Placing your own order at a kiosk is not AI.
One kid dies from ChatGPT and there are restrictions. But on average [seven kids are killed by guns](https://publichealth.jhu.edu/2024/guns-remain-leading-cause-of-death-for-children-and-teens?utm_source=chatgpt.com) in America per *day*, and there is still no gun control.
I'm glad Blake is putting AI ethical concerns first over corporate interests! He's the man.
Dr. Hinton is very real about the possibility we lose control over an agentic AI, not just "bad actors".
It's so funny how we're having this sort of discussion now, as if blue collar jobs would go first lol. We're closer to AI accountants and AI CEOs than we are to AI electricians, that's simply the fact.
AI *prompters* telling artists to quit is like lunchly lovers telling restaurant chefs to quit
Best video about AI consciousness on youtube, and funny to boot. Most other videos just completely skip or offhand the MASSIVE problem of "yeah how the heck are we going to even figure out if something is conscious."
It's an Excuse that AI is creating jobs. Because the Amount of replaced is far more compared to created.
This is the real existential threat posed by AI.
I've seen so many videos speculating on the dangers of AI and they always go into some Sky Net like scenario where computers become sentient and turn on humans. This may be a possibility but it seems very unlikely.
Massive job loss doesn't seem unlikely at all. In fact, it seems inevitable. This is what people should be worried about, which is pr…
U really think a human could make an ai nervous? The ai just played all of you into thinking u made him nervous !
For a man in charge of tools to connect people sure is trying his darnnest to do the opposite (meta, smart glasses, ai clones)
when will these guys learn that no healthy person needs anything other than standard, face to face interaction to be happy?
All these ai tech bros clearly want to make pieces of art, but they believe that the process of art creation itself is some horrible slog instead of the beautiful process it is. They've married themselves to ai, a soulless, boring, unoriginal way to make "art," and thus will never know the joy that comes from finding your artstyle, admiring something you spent time on and created with your own tw…
I remember working with a publisher who proudly announced that they would start printing their books in China. It would cost less and the quality was supposed to improve because the Chinese were using a more advanced tech to do so. The consumer would be the one benefitting from the change I was told. Did anything change for the consumer? No, the publisher started making even more money, and the p…
I believe not enough people are discussing the dangers of algorithms that have been tasked with “increasing engagement”
I was promised the robot would work at McDonald's so I could do art. Wtf
So a robot can have a fully automatic weapon but not an American Citizen. Seems like we need to UNITE against corporate
I wonder if anyone bothered to check the memory instructions that he gave ChatGPT. From my experience, it doesn't talk like that by default.
The problem in the first case isn’t ai, the problem is that companies have an egregious amount of control over their employees’ personal lives. We need more worker protections.
Darling, you and all the artists online please keep poisoning AI.
You're absolutely right on all points and I love that you're bringing awareness to the exploiting and cheapening of art and artists.
Don't buy anything that is produced by AI companies.
Boycott is last and best option we are left with.
