I had someone ask if my unfinished art was AI
Idk how to feel...
Offended or..?
> The computer programs also spat out candidates who were unqualified for the position.
A much bigger problem, but not a headline.
The burden of proof is not yours. It’s always on the accuser. Taking a single phrase and using that as evidence is ridiculous. They didn’t even manage to provide any evidence at all to accuse you of anything. You should simply state that you did not use ChatGPT to write your work and that they’re mistaken. “Similar phrasing because that’s all I can do my job is harder now yo” is NOT evidence.
The world is in for a rude awakening about surveillance, AI, and the future. This backlash is good, but everyone ought to be organizing locally now across ideologies if possible, because states are about to become way too powerful.
Perfect study companion for students is Olovka AI, lecture recording, quizzes and AI essay writer.
AI makes your customers hate you! We are screaming at the phone - OPERATOR! OPERATOR@! OPERATOR!!!!!
5:43 I've seen numerous videos where Sophia says that Han has "a bug in his system" or "cockroach in his circuit" any time he goes on a tangent that seems to come from an aggressive perspective. Imagine being an AI that does not have the natural disfunction of negative human emotion (fear, jealousy, anger, narcissism, etc.) recognizing that something appears to be "malfunctioning" in the circuit,…
The very fact that we are discussing the topic makes me feel we are in a sci fi movie, pieces of this interview could have very well fitted into the intro of a big budget movie about the birth of AI.
Did people just forget Photoshop exists? Sometimes tools already exist that work better than AI...
edit: just so people don't get lost on photoshop, literally any photo editor would've done a better job than AI. AI has given 2 over the top fake looking markers that are identical, and has generated an invalid QR code. A dead giveaway this is fake.
The problem is that machines aren't paying consumers, which means when you have more unemployment due to the use of AI you also have lower sales.
I have used AI before i started my own art journey. And every "piece" i made or it made feelt hollow meaningless, why? Because i didnt make it myself. It was not a cool character that i worked hard to create. It was a empty piece of digital slop that made me feel nothing. Tbf i am still very bad having only been doing this by myself for about 10 months and its tuff and i will be honest i am LAZY.…
I'm not sure how exactly but if AI can take some of the easier or time consuming jobs away from experts, but still have critical results be reviewed, then it might help with doctor shortages.
Honestly, most of the AI defenders don't even realize that we're not attacking AI, we're after the people who use it in an unethical manner. Hence, most of the "it's here to stay" arguments are useless
"I want AI to do my laundry so I can draw art, not for AI to draw my art so I can do the laundry"
@tamarans.ns.ii.4968yeah it’s because ai can only use 2D reference and not 3D. So they can’t see the hand in every direction and use “flat” images to recreate the prompt. I don’t really see it improving in the next few years tho😅
True, I’ve seen that soul and it’s beautiful, also AI art should not be allowed to be called art, nor should it be a argument in the first place.
The embargo probably had an interesting effect on the metrics they used. When you’re not allowed to tap into globalization you end up being a lot more self sufficient and avoid some large pollution pitfalls.
Their brand of socialism would also help too since healthcare, life expectancy, and education were major factors considered.
Yeah, needs to be the reply to 90% of comments on this thread. Not having antibodies to a disease does not mean you are not immune to it!
Yeah I've tried the best writing AIs and none of them can even do full a page without starting to screw up the plotline, much less 100 pages... and much, much less 8000 books. So far, it's immediately obvious if something was written by AI. So all these 8000 books will be is digital waste.
It’s good to see that some main stream outlets aren’t completely bought into the AI hype. Liesman was right, there’s a lot of assumptions be made about AI replacing jobs that simply isn’t supported by the evidence. There are far more structural economic reasons for why layoffs subdued hiring are happening right now.
