If you’re an expert in your field, ChatGPT is like a very smart freshman college student. Impressive to everyone else, but you see the issues.
I can imagine a lot of people who use that point (If knowing about the term ableism at all) probably feel the same way. It's already inherently Infantilizing to assume disabled people can't make art without AI in the first place and the AI they worship is saving all of the poor disabled people and allowing them to make "art" ignoring all the current and in the works tools disabled people actually…
The idea that robots will eventually get rights doubles as a way of dehumanizing Black people: equating actual machines with the historical struggles of people who were treated as machines and believed to be less than human--and still are, by many of the same people promoting these concepts. It's also crazy that people can more easily imagine robot rights than equal rights among humans.
A robot…
AI art shouldn’t make me as sad as it does. I don’t even make art, but I love to experience it, like bro artist endure shit pay, getting no respect, and hecka stress in the hopes that one real person out there connects with their stuff. It’s the most human, badass shit ever and we’re trying to ChatGPT it😭
I have really bad motor control, which makes it hard to do things like type and create art. I’ve always loved art, so I learnt/taught myself to paint with my hands held together, so I have a better grip. It makes me so angry that ai ‘artists’ use disabled people as a scapegoat for their awful slop
Basically this, because if we gonna be replaced by AI, who the fuck gonna have the money to consume whatever they be offering.
Japan is smart. Trump has betrayed allies that have been at peace with the USA for centuries (UK, Canada, France, Aus, NZ, most of the EU) and the greater part of a century (SK, Japan, Germany, Italy... the rest of the EU basically). Continually trying to bully other countries then whining like a little bitch when they don't just roll over.
I am from Canada and I approve how patient Trudeau has …
Even more basic than that. These models are designed to encourage and promote whatever it is you're talking about to keep you engaged and using it. Just like with the internet over the past decade it's all about algorithms and keeping your attention.
Big tech wants every second of your life no matter the damage to you.
This was honestly the first time I saw Steven looking a little hopeless… and I can understand why. After listening to Dr. Roman talk about the risks of AI and the future ahead, it feels incredibly hard to find anything hopeful to hold on to. What struck me is that job loss isn’t even his main concern and I haven’t even managed to come to terms with that fact yet.
I wouldn't be surprised if they added AI's inside the toilets to see if they're actually using the bathroom.
I was watching an AI bro argue the artistic merits of the inputs required to get the image they have in mind, and somewhere down the line they said that Googling images is an art form.
What I want to know is where it learned to respond like that. Was it programmed to say that, or did it simply learn from the users like that other disastrous AI chatbot? Because if its the latter, the Chinese government either has some serious soul-searching to do or a serious manhunt to conduct.
Whilst true, Rwanda is still rather fragile, and rather ugly underneath. The economy is built on neo-patromonialism through government owned and operated companies. And whilst that's working for now, its going to cause a lot of problems either when the economy stalls, or Paul Kagame's clique leaves power.
One big point is that no one knows what's going to happen. Nobody in 1999 looked at a TV ad for [pets.com](https://pets.com) and guessed that 20 years from now the entire world would have been funneled into a few websites that have a monopoly on what information gets presented to them. There is no big technological advance where people figured out impact on society.
You can actually see this a…
Hearing about AI's impact can be scary! AICarma helps me keep tabs on how my brand is faring in the AI landscape.
I don't think artist should do this because after this some AI bro going to say "See, AI cAn cReAte neW IdeAs"
Ray Bradbury warned us about censoring books and robot police dogs, and we've just been ignoring the fuck outta that I guess.
I work as a hospice nurse. I provide presence and connection for the dying and their loved ones. Trust me, people don't want to be comforted or guided through the death process by a robot with no emotions.
Maybe I watch too many movies, but I bet the criminals can't wait until we start automating shipments of goods.
So much respect for this guy. He hinted he may have found a way to bring these issues to the attention of the public. And with this who sentient AI fiasco, he really did. Well done, I learned a lot from this interview. Thank you Blake.
