Asimov published "I, Robot" way back in 1950 which explored humans' inherent distrust of AI as well as "the three rules of robotics" where he idealistically predicted we wouldn't develop an AI which wasn't restricted by directives never to harm a human, either through action or lack of action. Unfortunately, I don't have that much faith in today's tech CEOs and titans.
