controlnets and drunk genie's give the same result. you can't claim ownership of content your model generates unless all the components allow you to. doesn't matter how many components it takes to generate something, they all have to allow you to use their stuff as probably outlined in a license. the problem is that when it does/creates something, they want to own it if it's an asset, and disown it if it's a liability. a proprietary generator only has one component as exposed to the public as their "AI", there's no way to tell what control nets they used so you could only really use your argument in the open source arena, nobody's claiming copyright ownership there are they? :shrug:
