There is not enough jobs for everyone to be a plumber! (or any bluecolar work). These jobs are already filled with low-income immigrants fighting for a spot. Who is going to pay for these salaries? The first ones that go are the high earners of Wall Street. The Decision makers. (but they will not fire themselves, but instead go after the lower positions in the company). So the threat is NOT AI, it's the upper management that will cut jobs.
