This is true, but the distinction between "real art" and "AI-generated art" is far less clear-cut than many people like to admit.
First, the majority of those who call themselves "real artists" are merely competent illustrators—at best, their work is skilled craftsmanship. Second, while it's true that anyone can generate an image by entering a simple prompt into an AI tool, the results are largely arbitrary. If you want to create something highly specific in terms of content or style, a great deal of effort is required.
When you put in that effort, the gap between AI-generated images and traditional digital art—created with Photoshop and layers of effects and filters—becomes much smaller than some would like to claim. We've had similar debates before: not long ago, people questioned whether digital art was "real art." And what about photography? Is it inherently less artistic just because capturing a great photo often requires less effort than painting the same subject?
These arguments lead nowhere.
