That makes a lot of sense. Eliezer doesn't have a degree, doesn't even have a high school diploma, doesn't work in tech or AI, and his "experience" is reading a lot of science fiction as a kid. He's literally one of the least qualified people to discuss tech issues, but as it happens that means he says a lot of things that AI grifters like to say so they platform his ideas.
