@saebelorn ...wat? You just remade my point. There is no difference between "AI" and the last generations new apocalyptic tech. Every single generation has a version of Boomers who are scared of new technology they don't understand and so claim those who use it are corrupting their form of art or medium.
Printed type face and newspapers were all comments by previous generations on new technologies and how they would destroy the fabric of society or art. Many writers and the few literate at the time were pissed about printed type. They claimed giving everyone access to print ruined the very medium. My point is that AI panic is nearly 100% fearmongering.
There are some legit issues that needs to be addressed in regard to copyrights and sampling and what needs to occur to make something transformative content as opposed to pieces of stolen content. Any new tech comes with this same host of issues. It isn't new, and artists being little bitches about it and people like Man Carrying Things using scare tactics and strawmen to discredit the tech under the guise of comedy is what always happens.
