You remind me of people before 1990s who said computers don't what creativity and planning and understanding of nuances of the game needed to play top level chess to beat a world chess champion. But does it need to be like human though? In 1995 a supercomputer deep blue beats world champion in a 6 game exhibition match and computers have only gotten better at chess since. Today's AI doesn't need to think like us to eventually surpass us at everything.
