I've been called an "AI bro" before, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think that personal/individual use of AI art won't have much impact on traditional artists.
Corporate use of AI art is concerning to me, but I'm optimistic that AI not currently having copyright protection is making it less viable for commercial use.
