Meh. The whole argument about effort is just a "No True Scotsman". Since you can extend it however much you want to be as exclusive as you want. "All you did was press a button on a camera." "Did you mix your own paints with hand-collected ingredients? Real artists mix their own paints and suffer to get the ingredients themselves." "I saw you using that backhoe to dig out the basement. You're only a real construction worker if you dig it by hand." It always ends up as a "What I do is real, and your way is fake, because I put in just the right amount of effort." If you want to make a good argument, try phrasing it how AI art is limited in what it can do, as opposed to making some appeal to sweat, blood and tears. At the end of the day, nobody cares how hard you worked on something, they care about the quality of the final product.
