The problem is that robots don't buy stuff. They don't consume anything other than electricity, lubricants, and Maintenance (costs). But what happens when a robot breaks down, and a Repair Bot comes to fix it? Then the Repair Bot malfunctions, and yet ANOTHER bot arrives to repair the Repair Bot?
