We drive cars to get around and move stuff, we build and deconstruct with giant machines, we use computers for literally everything from sending messages to banking to seeing the news! The advent of the digital sketchpad was a revolution in the art world and it is a machine! 2. It is not "stealing art". Old AI may have done so, but the current ai uses bits and ends from existing art to form an entirely different picture. Or, the ai is trained to use a certain artstyle to go off of. If you believe this is "stealing", then I am sure you don't believe in Fair Use laws. You don't believe in the concept of fanart or even art in general, because all art is derivative of other art. To decry AI art to be theft because it uses inspiration off existing art or art styles, then you are saying that all modern artists are fucking thieves! If you draw picture of Goku from dragonball, of course you have to give credit to the creators. But, if you draw some random oc in the dragonball artsyle, then you don't have to give credit because artstyles can't be copyrighted, and thus, cannot be stolen! Hell, look at Sonichu made by that freak chris-chan! Chris-chan took two existing characters, and merged them in a way that all legal courts agreed WASN'T THEFT!! If that mentally impaired weirdo can understand this to make that weirdo art, then I am certain you higher functioning people can understand it too. Art inspired by art is not theft, it is simply art. If ya'll ai haters weren't acting like elitist snobs, then you would understand this very fundamental rule of art. Human artists will still have a niche, but AI Art is the future of progress. You can either learn to ride the wave or you can be buried by it when it rolls over you. If all these raging artists just learned to use the AI before anyone else, then not only would your jobs be secured, but you could control the flow of AI art in a way that doesn't decimate you. But, by all means, rage against AI. You will very quickly learn that the pursuit of innovation will go on, whether it has to work around you or it has to roll over you.
