With that said it's pretty gatekeepy too Tell everyone to either do it how you want them to do it or don't do it at all. Not everybody has time to sink into a new hobby or skill. Not to mention the majority of you are completely ignoring the fact that some people are just inherently good at a skill that others have to work towards. I've been writing since I was 10 and I still come back to AI sometimes to further hammer out an idea I'm having because I don't have others to talk to in regards to that idea. Same with I don't want to pester a friend to draw me a character for my story because I can't find time between work and life to set down with a pen and paper just to draw something that I don't want to use because it looks like trash anyways. It's nice to have a visual more instantly than it is to not have one. I'm also not claiming any of the art it generates as my own and I give a full disclosure when I share it with friends for opinions of a look of a character that I edited it in various ways after generating a character. One of my characters took practically two weeks just to get the look down in a way that I could feel comfortable with. Now I can write that character better with a description than trying to mentally think of something that might clash. Anyone who's read a novel with a weird character description knows what I mean. You think Harry Potter looks as he was described in the books? The key is layers, once you have a base image that you like, you change things one by one. Sometimes it won't do exactly what you want it to, That's where you have to come in and make the edits and refeed it the image to continue adding layers to. I couldn't get it to apply fishnet in a way I wanted it to so I had to personally add a layer of fishnet and feed it back through to continue the styling of the clothing.
