@Foxhood first of all, you're not engaging my points, you're just attacking my character and motives. second, you're using the ad-hominem attack on me, not the other way around. third, I said I'm in the middle because I acknowledge both extremes of the AI usage topic, which, you have clearly missed and are just gatekeeping neutrality. fourth, your self-contradiction argument is weak, "tool vs. commissioning" seems like a stretch, Commissioning an artist is like using a human "tool" in a collaborative way, but AI prompting is more like direct authorship. If anything, you have a fair debate point, but not a gotcha. your comment just reads as: getting triggered by a pro-AI comment and are venting frustration at me. I get why you're against AI, it's trained off of real artists work without consent, it could take away people's jobs, it's soulless outputs lacking human imperfection. but i also understand the pro-AI side, it helps non-artists iterate on their ideas quickly. and prompt engineering IS a skill, refining descriptors, styles, and compositions can take hours, much like directing a photoshoot. It's democratizes creativity, especially for concept art, prototyping, or hobbies. I DO stand in the middle, I see AI as an enhancer, not the enemy. Using it for ideation, then refine manually. Or a blend: AI-generated bases touched up by hand. Surveys from places like DeviantArt or Adobe show ~40-50% of creators now experiment with AI, but with caveats on ethics. Appreciate the feedback, but I wasn't attacking anyone—just sharing why I see AI as a tool with creative input. If you think prompting isn't effort, try it sometime—it's not magic.
