@s@sharifastewart7316individual attention is still needed but it is objectively safer. And those numbers are for semiautonomous too. Waymo has had like 1 fatality with their fully autonomous vehicles. The fear here is similar to that with flying. One mode is objectively safer, but obviously the sense of control is lost.
